This investigation lead me down

three paths: the Bijenkorf

department store (whose roof I

would be using for the project),

the weather of Rotterdam, and Christopher Alexander's "A Pattern Language".

Inspired by my love for camping and growing up surrounded by nature, I decided to address what I missed the most since moving to Rotterdam.

My solution came as a miniature national park, and no national park is complete without a campground.

So, how do you fit a nature reserve and a campground on 4.5 km2 in the center of Rotterdam?
