Growing up in the wilderness of Canada and Norway, Rotterdam has become my first urban dwelling. From the start, the concrete jungle was overwhelming. Even the countless parks scattered through the city are designed and maintained to perfection. "God created the world but the Dutch created the Netherlands" is even true to their parks.

The concept of my rooftop addresses this problem by recreating my experiences in national parks in the center of Rotterdam. My concept contains two main elements, a nature reserve, and an urban campground. 

 

At first, my concept mainly focused on urban camping, inspiring myself from several projects I found on the internet.
