By enhancing the experience of the natural elements, focus and appreciation can be put on these everyday forces.
Shiver
Made out of many plastic shingles attached to counterweights, this kinetic sculpture reacts to the wind, rain, and snow. Designed in 2012 by the London-based studio NEON, this sculpture was installed in Finland. They were inspired by the movement of underwater sceneries in which plants and corals move cohesively.
Silence
By Japanese designer Tadao Ando, this fountain located in Mayfair, London features a calm pool of water on a granite basin. Every 15 minutes, for 15 seconds surrounding the trees which cut their way through the fountain, a cloud of mist is produced. This demonstrates the random natural elements as the fog makes its way above the water's surface and is moved by the wind.
